Physical health is something that is always taken care of much by the being, but physical health itself is not prior for a sound happy life, the mental health is also equally important. The issue is mental health is really really important but is really really ignored by most of the beings, that creates a big problem.

An emotion is the mental state of someone, that arises spontaneously because of sudden mood, circumstances or relationship with others.
Emotions are very common, or we can say, its inborn, everyone knows how to show emotions. An American psychologist Dr. Paul Ekman discovered six universal basic emotions , as:

Its okay, (Healthy) to have different feelings / emotions for different circumstances. Its not unhealthy to feel sad for a loss, or to feel angry for a mistake. Showing emotions is a sign or good health if the emotions are totally in control of our mind, and do not tend to control our behaviour fully. The controlled emotions are the sign of mental stable state or good health.
Emotions arises due to various circumstances, and emotions affect our behaviour. The problem arises, when we lose our control over our emotions. A person driven by his emotions instead of his sense, or a condition in which emotions attacks his normal personality and behaviour is a sign or mental disturbance or may lead to ill-health.

The first important task to do is to identify your emotions. If you want to control your emotions, you need to identify your emotions first. After the identification you also learn how to control them.
The best way to identify your emotions, is stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself, your facial expressions.
Once you have taken first step towards emotional management, Start recording and monitoring your emotions. Track your mood, your feelings, and triggers that derives those emotions in you. Take time to better identify and record your emotions.
The best way to monitor is, sit in your room during evening, relax and note how did you feel throughout the day long.
Everyday, make it a practice to reason yourself, "Why?". Think what circumstances are causing these emotions and feelings to rise inside you. Ask yourself, are your emotions worth it? or are they just rising for no important reason.
Noting down and critical reasoning each feeling will motivate you to change some aspects, that were disturbing you earlier. Stay connected to yourself.
The next step is the most important step toward emotional control. Just like we restrain ourself with seatbelt for safety in a car, restrain your emotions with your mind.
Reason each moment, think for some time, and check how to handle the situation in a better way.
Don't let your emotions go out of control and disturb your behaviour, but rather, act maturely and take the steering of each emotion in your control.
Your emotional behaviour acts like Rubik's cube. You always have two choices, either to throw the random face that comes instantly or to take a little time and make proper decision.
The random instant face is the "Reaction" which is always weird; and the proper chosen face with thinking is the "Response" which is always perfect.
The best way to control and manage emotions, and to achieve emotional intelligence is to choose,

Mental Health is really really important factor to live a happy life. To fulfil all your dreams, it is of utmost priority to have a sound mental health.
Follow these tips to maintain a better mental health:

Respect Yourself & Everyone: Start from your own self; value yourself as a gift of the creator, which is unique and the best. To have a sound health, you first need to understand the value of yourself.Secondly, treat everyone with empathy, respect and kindness. Do not fell in criticism with others, avoid topics that disturb your mind. Show respect to everyone's feelings and emotions, and in return your emotions and feelings will be praised.

Maintain Good Physical Health: Physical health affects your mental health. A sound physical health accompanies a free and strong mental system. Try to maintain a sound physical health by following ways like, - Take proper Sleep during night, at least 6-8 hours - Maintain a clean body and environment, always wash face and hands after work or travel - Follow a healthy diet plan, include nutritious food and avoid overeating and junk food - Drink plenty of water, at least 3 litres of water a day - Follow proper Exercise or Yoga daily - Avoid Alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes, harmful drugs etc - Never ignore any undesired symptoms in body, always be careful and consult physician whenever required

Maintain Good Environment: Environment plays a vital role in maintaining good health. Keep your surroundings neat and clean. Plant more trees and flowers near your surroundings, and relax in green area. Also, have a good connection with family and friends, and spend time with good friends and family members. Go outside, for what you like, shopping, picnic, tour etc to maintain good and fresh mood.

Give & Take: It is very important to share your emotions, feelings and thoughts with your best friends and family members. Always seek for help whenever required, and always be ready to help others. Take good advices from elders, and give proper consultation to younger. Never hide your thoughts or emotions within yourself, but do share with anyone at least.

Manage your Time: Manage proper time between yourself, your family and your business. Its very important to plan your time in such a way that you get good time for your self, when you can do exercise, yoga, meditation etc and also spend good time with your family and friends, when you can share your thoughts and emotions. Keep your business hours fixed until very important, so that you can have good time for relaxation and other tasks. Do not mix business hours with family time.

Give good time to work for your goals and maintain time for yourself and family. Work hard and smart to achieve your goals. Your goals will always keep you inspired and enhance good mood vibes.

Do Meditation: The best way to relax your mind and fresh your mood is, quiet your mind and meditation is the best way to quiet the mind. Try meditation, relaxation or mindfulness, which will improve your state of mind, and also improves hormonal balance to keep body calm and fresh.

Avoid Harmful Intakes: Try to avoid or reduce taking alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes, and harmful drugs. Try to reduce the intake of caffeine, soda based drinks etc. This will help you maintain a proper health and mind.
